Left Abdomen Hurts When I Laugh

struck on his way to Damascus-day 15

The day begins with a short discussion at the hotel reception, the day before because we do not have the room and we want to ensure that today there the redo.
Today we closed the bar where we had breakfast the day before, so we have to find another place to eat our candy. Oh yes, because yesterday was the Muslim holiday and today is the Jewish holiday and then another slice of the city is closed ... this is Jerusalem!

Today we walk a lot and still cover the entire old part of Jerusalem. It is not very large and in two days you can visit almost anything.
Two things strike us all on this day. The first is the tomb of King David. It is a monument beautiful objects, but when we get to visit it is full of Jews devoted to their prayers. We are told that we must wait once they have finished with the prayers we can get. It 's the first time we see them a prayer and we really like, in some ways has reminded us of a mass gospel. All prayers are sung, and accompany the songs rhythmically beating with hands or feet on the ground. We sat outside and listened, was intense and beautiful. After the prayer, people started to leave, first to children who have rushed to play in the courtyard, while adults are very friendly they made us sign that we can now enter. The tomb can be visited while respecting the division between the sexes in it, very rigid: the two areas are divided by curtains so that Luciano and I end up visiting everyone on our behalf without not even see us. The monument itself is not anything memorable, we liked it so much more that which preceded it.

The other thing that affects us all is the walk around the walls of Jerusalem. The recommend a lot because even if there is to walk (the old walls surround almost the whole of Jerusalem except the part that goes behind the Dome of the Rock where you do not have access) you can see from Jerusalem and then from a completely different perspective is I admire the old town on this side of the wall that the new one on the other side

On the Muslim side ran into an unfortunate accident: while we are passing on the walls which surround the kids we are targeting with their toy guns and we shoot the shot, fortunately without consequences. The children of Jerusalem have impressed us a lot, playing only to the war and very violent. The only toys I have seen pass in their hands are weapons, obviously fake, but often loaded with plastic balls that you shoot at one another. A sadness that I tell you ... this is definitely not a pleasant impression at home that riportemo Jerusalem, with one regret: not having found a way to visit the Dome of the Rock. The armor around was complete, all access barred to visitors.
After the visit of the walls, it is now evening and our vacation is over. Back at the hotel, where we reserve the Nesher taxi for three in the morning. We will take before the New Gate, one of the entrance to the Old City, we expect a pretty good up early because we will have a ten minute walk to reach it.
For our last dinner of this beautiful holiday choose Amigo Emil, a short walk from our hotel. Again and for the last time Arab cuisine, I can only salute the Middle East, ordered the hummus, one of My favorite food!

How Many Calories In Chicken

struck on his way to Damascus-day 14-

breakfast in our hotel is not included and costs too exaggerated in our view, almost € 7 each. For those who happen to be here, warning that only a few steps from 'Hashimi Hotel, near the Via Dolorosa, where there is a bakery with two or three spectacular € we bought several kinds of cookies and pastries for breakfast. We had breakfast with those in a bar where we took two tea (Lipton, of course after the Bedouin tea ...).
We have taken the NIS just arrived at the airport ATM, but wanted it you can do without. Everyone, even the last banquet of the souk, € accepting and indeed, tend to tell you the price in euro of the first thing I ask and then convert it into local currency.
The Hashimi Hotel, it has some flaws (the tiny bathroom for example) does not have that position. In fact, it is excellent, three minutes walk from the church of the Holy Sepulchre is the first day of our visit.

The church is one of the strangest and most fascinating of all I've ever seen.
strange because inside cross styles, fascinating because I've never seen a church so crowded with people of all nationalities, praying at the various corners of the multiform building. All this makes it unique the world.

The church brings together the various Christian denominations, not only in Jerusalem but throughout the world. There are however those of Jerusalem to have serious problems of communication between them as their own are unable to agree on the management of the church holds the keys to a Muslim family as a body superpartes, every family that morning's task is to open the church and to close it every night.
After the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to begin exploring the various neighborhoods of Jerusalem: the old town is divided into several quarters: Jewish, Muslim, Christian and Armenian. The Muslim side of town is the fence, complete with armed guards to defend the barricades to prevent anyone who crosses. We demand an explanation from Israeli soldiers on guard at eci explain that today is a day of celebration for Muslims, so visitors are not allowed, if we want we can go tomorrow. The souk
Muslims today are almost all closed, open ones are proprierà of Jews and Christians.
Jerusalem is not only a city patrolled by armed forces. It 's a city around the clock video surveillance. I think. In fact I have not been able to verify whether the views of many cameras were turned on or not. Sure, these are everywhere.
Some are in plain sight, some hidden, to be found. But every road is under the electronic eye.

Jerusalem struck us, among other things, for its cosmopoliticità. The Holy City of three religions and a place to meet a few meters in ideologies, religions and lifestyles different from each other.

Herein lies much of the charm of the city and made it, at least for us, so unique and special.
Together, logically, its artistic e culturali. E al bagaglio storico che si portano dietro.

Quartiere musulmano:

Inizio della via Crucis:

L'orto dei Getsemani:

La Dome of the Rock vista dal monte degli Ulivi:

Cimitero ebraico:

Il muro del pianto:

In molti di questi luoghi siamo letteralmente circondati da gruppi di preghiera al seguito del loro parroco, manco a dirlo la maggior parte di loro sono italiani.
Chiudiamo la giornata alla ricerca dell'ultimo acquisto serio del viaggio, il narghilè che vogliamo portarci a home after arriving in Syria (but for obvious reasons of space, we could not do before). He discovered a very nice in a souk, bargaining is not very tight in Jerusalem, but still managed to get a small discount. The backpacks are already overcrowded, it will be with me in a little bag. Hurry up the commission, we are left to think of the dinner.
We follow the usual advice of Lonely Planet and choose the Armenian Tavern, which is needless to say in the Armenian Quarter is the kitchen ... and guess what?

The restaurant is very distinctive and tasty dinner, I taste a dish of mixed Armenian specialties, Luciano decided that his stomach is full of experiments and take a fillet on the grill.

Substitute Brown Sugar Sucanat Cookies

Gomorrah Roberto Saviano

Despite the admirable honesty to what is said (no, I for one, doubts that we need a good dose of courage to put on paper some names and surnames, with the inscription GUILTY) not enough, in my opinion, to make a good book Gomorrah. What I read is a journalist's report, just a collection of names, facts, places, episodes of sometimes unrelated to each other. A journalist's report for no other written very well, indeed in some places just this lily. Reading is often difficult, the writing does not flow away easily because of the lack of care style. Probably I was that I expected something different and then I closed puzzled as to how and why he climbed the summits of the world rankings. From what I read, Saviano to miss that extra mile to make the jump from journalist to novelist. Praise be to the intentions (but only to those).

Laminate Paper At Staples

struck on his way to Damascus on 13-

Reveille and breakfast area, abundant and very tasty. After eating, we separate from our companions in the field: our driver arrived and is ready to take us in Aqaba. The trip takes almost two hours, the track across the desert from Wadi Rum that leads to the outskirts of Aqaba. Here we separate ourselves from our driver, we rely on a taxi driver who should lead us to the center of the city. even if we give them a little extra for a dive center recommended by our rough where we planned to spend the day to relax a bit '.
The diving center was the first (and indeed the only) corner taken by our guide, it corresponded very little description. We found a bit 'too little care and prices than those presented by the guide, which in any case only a couple of years, had at least tripled. But anyhow, we have to stay only a week and eventually we come to rest in the sun, to bathe and admire the beautiful coral reef of Aqaba. E 'practically attached to the shore, do not even need to dive with the mask to see the wonders!

In the late afternoon we take the bus diving (for a fee, not free as stated guidance) to the center of Aqaba and there a taxi to the airport, where we have a flight to Amman. At the airport we have to wait a little less than two hours before taking our flight to Tel Aviv, all very short flights of perhaps thirty-five minutes. In the end, most of the time goes by various controls. In Tel Aviv, where we landed around 23, we stopped at passport control, as I imagine, just see the Syrian stamp. They took us to a room where we leave half an hour to steep (in our opinion, intentionally) before you ask. At the end of the interview is pretty tight, even if only questioning my husband's questions are very detailed on our journey to Syria and Jordan, and he begins to quibble with the Israeli soldier if he seems very possible that an Italian with his face is a terrorist (after feeling well .. but I tell you about the case seems to discuss such a thing at that time?) is becca a soldier yelled at the final because his last name because his wife was to appear on my passport (???) and then they let us go.
The cheapest way, but also more convenient to get to Jerusalem from the airport taxis are the Nesher. There are minibuses that leave when full (a few minutes!) And at the fixed price of 45 NIS (about 14 euro) per head will take you directly at your hotel in Jerusalem. Very comfortable and not too expensive, if you think that Ben Gurion airport is 36 km from Jerusalem.
are easily found, just exit the airport on the right is a sign indicating their bus stop.
Since our hotel is located within the walls in the pedestrian zone, the Nesher us leaves in front of the Damascus Gate, just minutes walk away. The Damascus Gate is the entrance of the Muslim quarter and there is a great celebration for the end of Ramadan. There are food stalls and lights, one in the morning but it seems the height of the festivities. The fact that there is a lot of people around helps us because now we do not find our hotel, we need some guidance. The hotel is within
Hashimi souks Muslims and has a rather rigid Islamic management. A sign at the entrance warns that sleeping in the same room is not allowed to unmarried couples even if we merely ask for without demanding proof!
The lobby is very nice ...

While the rooms are a bit 'of monastic cells, simple. Let's go to bed now because it is already late, but in the street celebrations for the feast we will wake up much longer.

Removing Aluminium Oxide

The real waste of energy saving

True Savannah, here at Brescia, is my office!
But excuse me, because now someone tells me that there are still 17 degrees outside the office where I work, since it is located in an old building with central heating, the temperature at the cremation fire just because someone said that the "15 October may. " You can? So what? Not! And I'm here with the windows open I Cremo and wonder what we make of it out of the radiators hot when we have not yet passed to coat.
In January however, when they beat the teeth, according to the regulations of my municipality and according to the installer of the boiler should I keep my thermostat on 20 degrees up my house. Now, I live in a house with three walls exposed, with under and over the garage roof and I'd like to know why they say I should run with three pairs of socks to support the waste that is perpetuated by the old boilers in public buildings that throw shit atmosphere and heating municipal still look the calendar instead of the weather. But it would be better a little 'more consistency?

Bounty Commercial Voice

struck on his way to Damascus on 12-

The only bus that goes from Petra to Wadi Rum Party at 6 am .. that wonderful time! Especially since it seems that is not on time, on-site confirmed rumors say that time passes at a target between 6 and 6:30. Since our hotel is also a good quarter of an hour (do twenty minutes) walk from the center of Wadi Musa, where the bus goes, we go out around 5:20. We have not reserved a taxi, we decided that we just walked on foot and see if we are lucky enough to meet one on the street, or else patience. When at last we find one, we're almost at the top of the hill leading to the center (pant pant), but for a few Euros we take the same to avoid having to start looking for the bus station. A real
station then there is, what the guide calls with optimism as it is only a yard with two benches. There is not even the ticket, it seems that the ticket is made on the bus ... we hope!
There comes a bus and I almost want to see you ... that is accurate? Absolutely not, says the bus driver that goes to Amman. There seemed too good to be true ......
At that moment one approaches a car, the driver offers to take him to the Wadi Rum. Part fierce bargaining over the price and eventually managed to rip the same bus. I suspect that it went well because the type had to go to Aqaba on his own but on balance ... we care? The only thing that is really driving like crazy and then we come to Wadi Rum is not at 8, as scheduled, but at 7.15, with the visitor center still crossed! Pass the time eating something that we brought with us as breakfast and when we open the doors Aodeh call, our guide, information on the phone from the office and pay the park entrance of the Wadi Rum (2 JOD, less than 2 € , each). Aodeh appears to take a few minutes later it was called. It is surprising to see us: he rang the operators of the bus, but told him that he was late, so we explain that we have come this far by other means. It leads us to his home in a few minutes drive into the park, where we offer tea and introduces us to his beautiful child is ready when our jeep.

Luciano and I are also amazed by the quality of tea that we need, is the first time that I drink so good when they are in the Middle East, you usually trimmed in the Lipton bag ...
He explains that the Bedouin tea, I drink to the field and I regret not having bought at the visitor center of Wadi Rum!
Our jeep is ready: Aodeh presents us with his brother, who will be our guide during the day, we meet with him to camp in the evening.

When it came to book the guide to Wadi Rum, which I chose to do it from home, I sent the mail to several addresses guides suggested by our rough and I chose Aodeh (aodeh25@yahoo.com) because it was very quick to answer my mail and I brought in a clear and comprehensive a route that would go to meet our desires. We chose one of the most expensive routes on two days in Wadi Rum, seeing as we all wanted a jeep for us and we agreed to do the runway in the desert to Aqaba. All this has cost us 160 JOD (just under 150 €), including all (food and bottled water at will during the day) but every single penny has been earned.
We did everything we wanted for the day, with our time and as we went. We have always followed the advice of our guide when invited us to do the walking and we had a great time. In addition, the camp was very clean and well maintained, we have used our sleeping bags to sleep but provided them with everything and in excellent condition. The
after Petra Wadi Rum is probably the place I liked most of all Jordan. In some ways reminiscent of the American West .. for the deep red color, to be so different from the Sahara a few months earlier I had seen but equally beautiful.

Our guide points out a pretty good photographer!

has some tourist traps too: the home of Lawrence of Arabia (four rocks !!!!), and "Seven Pillars of Wisdom", a rock that pretend to be the one that inspired the title of the book by Lawrence (great dancing, is the rock that took its name from the book just to push the tourists to come and photograph it!).
For the rest, if you saw the movie "Lawrence of Arabia" with the legendary Peter O'Toole in 1962 my photos you will remember, because it was shot almost everything right in the Wadi Rum. It was the film that made him stand out as a tourist destination.
After a few 'hours of walking I must admit, you start to have sore buttocks since the jeeps are anything but soft! Little tip: as you carry your luggage with you, in our case was our standing in the back of the jeep, not the holiday for the Trolley ...

Ok, we just walked and just confess ... siesta moment!

At sunset we reach the camp for the night, we share with only two young Italian doctors who have already crossed a few times during the day.
for dinner as promised Aodeh reaches us.

Finally Luciano is happy as a clam when there are the delicious grilled chicken without adding any spice. If you ask he will tell you that certainly is the best dinner throughout the holiday! When it gets dark in the sky appear a surprising number of stars, is worth sleeping in the desert just for this incredible show ... We're really cooked, because we are standing at dawn, but we try to resist as much as possible before fall asleep.
